So about this book

How we can save the planet by Mayer Hillman

I haven't read the whole thing yet, just skimmed. What's it about? Climate change, what is happening, may happen and how what we do as individuals can help/hinder. The best bit is it gives facts and figures, like that one about the kettles, that helps you work out how well you are doing yourself and what you can change. He advocates radical change e.g. much much less air travel, much less travel in general, a radical rationing scheme that aims at the individual and their own carbon output. There are tables to calculate your own home's emissions, your emissions based on how much you travel etc. And there are a lot of things you can do which quickly and easily reduce emissions while saving you money. Like the kettle.

Finally, full marks to Penguin for the printing. The design is a bit tricky to read but they've used every available page, no extras, no white space, no unnecessary paper.
