It's not just me

Article in today's Guardian: Coming up roses? Not any more as UK gardeners turn to vegetables. Apparently lots of us are at it. Which is reassuring as hopefully that means I can get some advice. Oh and some homes for my tomato plants. I now have 30 potted up and growing well. Then there are 22 San Marzano in a seed tray and another 10 or so Lylia Cerisette. Also growing are 8 aubergine plants (two types), carrots, rather sorry looking lettuce, three extremely sorry looking cabbage seedlings, some minute chives, and the broad beans which are now over a foot tall and flowering but doing this indoors which was not the plan. However as we have had what the Met Office call wintry showers and I call snow, I can't bring myself to put the plants outside. Meanwhile I am waiting for the courgette, squash, celery, leeks, sage, lovage and French beans. Oh and I have to dig up a bit more field and rocks to put in the maincrop potatoes. Plus I overoptimistically bought two rhubarb plants the other day and I have no clue where they will fit. More rocks to be shifted no doubt. Hopefully tomorrow this will happen but apparently we are due sleet which sounds enticing...

I know what you mean, i never have enough space for what i want to grow - i'd need at least an acre. Tomato plants all round!
