And meanwhile in the garden

Oh, the barnyard is busy in a regular tizzy,
And the obvious reason is because of the season
Ma Nature's lyrical, with her yearly miracle
Spring, Spring, Spring.

Sorry, about that. Gratuitous use of corny lyrics from that wonderful (but yes, pretty corny) film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Anyway, it is definitely Spring now. Not sure it'll stay. We may get plunged back into frosts etc. - these days, who knows. However, this is what my patch looks like, looking towards the fruit trees.

The potatoes have finally shown themselves without suffering from frost.

My lettuce are starting to look a little less fragile.

I wouldn't say any of this could be classified as food yet, but we're getting there, I hope.

I know it's corny but I unabashedly love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Howard Keel alone is so sigh-worthy.

Your food is coming along. ;) It's like being in a restaurant and waiting forever for a dish and saying "I think they're busy planting."
