Next week is move week

Cue wild-eyed expressions of apprehension and glee and lots of nail-biting. And no we are not moving our own stuff and we are not using man with a van or some such. We're using Pickfords and they are packing everything into an enormous truck and then unpacking with the help of a smaller one which can actually reach the house we're moving into, and no doubt I will never want to move again but as we're renting, we will have to some time. Why Pickfords? Because I'd heard of them, they seem to know what they are doing and they've been around since before the civil war (cue salesman telling me that the firm started because of the industrial revolution, and of course as a graduate in history, me telling him that was amazing foresight as the industrial revolution didn't really get going for at least another 150 years). Anyway watch this space to see how it goes.

p.s. it is costing more to move me and my family to Wales than it did my best friend and hers to New Zealand...
